Well, Hello August 🌸

Well, hello, August. I don’t quite know when you got here or why you’re already leaving, but goodness gracious — what a month it has been!

We kicked things off by celebrating Kinsler’s 14th birthday on August 2nd 🎉. About twenty of his friends joined in for basketball, Buffalo Wild Wings, and all the fun that comes with being surrounded by good friends and birthday excitement.

The very next week, I jumped into my new role helping lead the Brownwood Middle School PTO, where we had the joy of feeding the teachers and staff as they prepared to kick off another school year. It’s already been such a rewarding way to plug into our community.

Not long after, we packed up for a quick family getaway to Port Aransas. We stayed in a cozy condo not far from the beach, grabbed a golf cart (because you have to in Port A), and enjoyed four days of sun, sand, and family time. On the way back, in true Amary fashion, we realized we hadn’t done school shopping yet — so we dove headfirst into tax-free weekend in San Antonio (without even knowing it was tax-free weekend 🤦‍♀️). Somehow, we survived and conquered the crowds, and just two days later school was already in full swing!

The last couple of weekends have been much calmer. We spent some time with friends, I hosted a permanent jewelry event here in Brownwood Texas, and then caught up on a little rest since I wasn’t feeling 100%.

Family Highlights 💛

• Kinsler made the 8th grade middle school football team 🏈 and is also keeping busy with soccer and his Outlaws travel baseball team. Basketball will pick back up soon.
• Hudson is playing quarterback for his first year of tackle football in TYFL, and his excitement is contagious! His season kicks off in just a couple of weeks.
• School is back, routines are (kind of) settling in, and the hustle is real.

Business & Big News ✨

Here in Brownwood, things are growing like crazy on the permanent jewelry side. In the past month alone, we’ve welcomed over 70 new women to our team — and it’s been incredible to watch them get started.

We’re all currently working toward earning a free trip to Riviera Maya, Cancun 🏝️. With a little less than 3.5 months to go, it’s still completely doable — so if you’ve ever thought about jumping into permanent jewelry (or even our regular jewelry line), now is the time to give it some thought.

Life with Mitchell 💕

Mitchell has been on call this past week, juggling plenty of overtime with his usual busyness at Atmos Energy. He leaves for training on Wednesday, so life doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon — but we’re grateful for the blessings in the midst of the chaos.

So, that’s what life has looked like the past three weeks in the Doremus household: birthdays, PTO, travel, back-to-school madness, sports, sparkly jewelry, and a whole lot of everyday life in between. August, you’ve been full and fast, but we’ve loved every bit.
